The Guardian’s editorial column In praise of…, a daily series led by economics leader writer Aditya Chakrabortty, focused yesterday’s piece on 2Up 2Down’s initiative Homebaked.

Taking its name from the vernacular description of the small terraced house that characterises the North of England, 2Up 2Down – a project by Liverpool Biennial and Dutch artist Jeanne van Heeswijk – offers an imaginative, experimental approach to dealing with empty properties and spaces in Liverpool and beyond.
